Baked Apples with Pecan Crumble Recipe
Baked apples, anyone? It's not a holiday party without a few baked desserts!
This Baked Apples with Pecan Crumble recipe is one of my favourite holiday desserts to satisfy my craving for sweets. It's a healthier, nutrient-rich alternative to pie, is super easy to make, and can be made gluten-free as well!

Yields : 8 servings
Prep Time: 10 min.
Cook Time: 30 min.
Total Time: 40 min.
Ingredients
4 Baking Apples
½ cup Chopped Pecans*
½ cup Oat Flour
¼ cup Oats*
¼ cup Shredded Coconut
¼ cup Honey OR Maple Syrup
¼ cup Coconut Oil OR Butter
3 tsp Cinnamon
¼ tsp Sea salt
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a large casserole dish with butter and set aside.
2. Cut apples in half and remove the core. Drizzle with a bit of honey and bake for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, add all topping ingredients into a bowl and combine well. Take out apples and spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of pecan crumble onto the apple halves.
3. Bake for another 10 minutes or until apples are tender and pecans are crunchy.
4. Serve apples warm. If desired, top with vanilla ice cream and yogurt
Notes:
*you can use almonds or walnuts instead
** you can use gluten-free oats
